This practical and interactive course will equip you with the skills and confidence to assess, examine, and inject commonly affected joints in primary care. The sessions are designed for GPs and clinicians wishing to enhance their musculoskeletal skills and meet training requirements.

Dr Soon Lim is a GP & has delivered minor surgery, minor surgery update, and joint injection courses to GPs across the UK, including programmes run with the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP). He has been the director of minor surgery for multiple RCGP faculties including Beds & Herts, Thames Valley, East Anglia, Midland, Essex, Leicester, Vale of Trent and NE London. He has also run courses for RCGP S London and the Events Department of the central college. He was co-author of the RCGP standards for teaching minor surgery.
He has held several senior leadership positions within the Association of Surgeons in Primary Care (ASPC), including Academic Lead, Education Lead, Vice President, and President. In his current role as Education Lead for the ASPC, he provides oversight of educational events and continues to support clinicians through structured, skills-based training.
Soon has been a medicolegal expert, specialising in community-based surgery writing reports on instructions from counsel for both defence and claimant. He has worked in clinical minor surgery roles in general practice, community clinics and an acute hospital trust over the past 30+ years.

Practical session with everyone having hands on access to joint manikins (low number of delegates to assure hands on experience and close observation)
